THE CHURCH AT WORSHIP Baptism of the Lord January 10, 2021

Morning Worship Eleven o’ clock

Greeting and Invocation Dr. Wayne Brown

Prelude Mrs. Patricia Slomanski My Tribute Andre Crouch

Hymn of Praise, No. 7 Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee HYMN TO JOY

(Please see page 4.)

Responsive Reading Matthew 7:7-8; Mark 11:24-25; Congregation John 14:13-14; Romans 8:26; Hebrews 4:16

Leader: “Ask, and it will be given you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you.

People: For everyone who asks receives, and everyone who searches finds, and for everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.”

Leader: “So I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

People: Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.”

Leader: “I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

People: If in my name you ask me for anything, I will do it.”

Leader: Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with sighs too deep for words.

People: Let us therefore approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Leader: Let us pray as Jesus has taught us:

All: Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
