Notice is hereby given that PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL proposes to make the above named Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Paragraph 20 of Schedule 9 to the Act: The effect of the Order shall be to:

Remove the 9 car taxi rank on the south side Union Street and replace it with x2 24 hour car taxi rank and x7 11.30pm-5.30am car taxi rank

Remove the 9 car taxi rank on the east side of Raleigh Street and replace it with x7 24 hour car taxi rank and limited waiting 10mins no return with 2 hours Full details are contained in the Order, which, together with the relevant plans, any Orders amended, and a statement of reasons for making the Order may be examined on Mondays to Saturdays at First Stop, New George Street in Plymouth. The Plymouth City Council as traffic authority proposes to make the Orders referred to above: -

a) The purpose of this Order is to facilitate the passage of traffic and/or pedestrians along the road - to provide some dedicated drop-off spaces for guests close to the new hotel at Derry’s Cross

The City of Plymouth in exercise of their powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the chief officer of police in accordance with Paragraph 20 of Schedule 9 to the Act of 1984, hereby make the following Order: THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH (TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS) (AMENDMENT No. 2017.2137154 – UNION STREET & RALEIGH STREET) ORDER This shall have the effect of amending “The City of Plymouth (Traffic Regulation and Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2004” as follows: 1) That the following be added to Article 35 – Third Schedule (Limited Waiting Parking Places) in the

correct numerical sequence: PART 88 –

a) Waiting limited to 10 minutes

a) Where a vehicle has been left in a designated parking place described in Part 88 of the Third Schedule to this Order and that vehicle is subsequently moved that vehicle is not permitted to return to that parking place until a period of 2 hours has elapsed otherwise a penalty charge shall be payable in accordance with PART J to this Order. (See Articles 54 and 55 for Exemptions)

2) The following items be added/deleted to the specified Schedules in the correct alphabetical Order:

i. Raleigh Street – east side, from its junction with Derry’s Cross for a distance of 23 metres

in a northerly direction

ii. Raleigh Street – east side, from a point 35 metres north of its junction with Derry’s Cross

to its junction with New George Street

3.88 Limited Waiting to 10 minutes No Return for 2 Hours

i. Raleigh Street – east side, from a point 23 metres north of its junction with Derry’s Cross for a distance of 12 metres in a northerly direction

9.01 No Loading/Unloading at Any Time

i. Raleigh Street – east side, from its junction with Derry’s Cross for a distance of 23 metres

in a northerly direction
