AMC Team relaxing after their two day Mould Conference

NSW celebrates 1 year

Mould Conference - June 2012 The Mould Conference was held at Rydges Melbourne on 1 & 2 June 2012, with 15 team members from around the country in attendance. 5 guest speakers covered all aspects of mould, including the insurance perspective of mould, case studies, issues of blackwater and specialty drying, concrete drying and much, more. AMC Atten-dees learnt about the cur-rent state of mould and the relevant specialised drying processes in Australia. At-

tendees had the opportunity to discuss the issues with fellow delegates, and net-work with like-minded pro-fessionals in a social envi-ronment.

Perco was the major spon-sor of this event and invited the AMC team to a break-fast presentation. Several overseas guest speakers talked about the importance of correctly identifying mould and the correct remedies for mould affected

areas.

AMC would like to thank Clare and Wayne, Managing Directors of Perco, for their very kind invitation.

makes us the Number One cleaning and franchise choice.

Charles and Nicholas have been working hard to con-nect with you and our customers. Many, if not all of you have met or spoken with our office staff. Sa-brina is always available to assist with accounting is-sues and Jessica, our re-ceptionist and administra-tion assistant, is always there to assist you. Our-sales team is busily seeking

Nearly 12 months into the new AMC management of NSW and it has been both an exciting and successful rebuilding process.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the franchisees for their pa-tience and support. We see it as a privilege to work with dedicated fran-chisees who are looking to build successful businesses, mindful that we also have to provide a service that

and quoting work, to con-tinue our growth. Nicole is supported in the challeng-ing role of telemarketing by Peter and Luis.

We appreciate referrals whether cleaning or fran-chise sale leads. So please keep the feedback coming as we strive toward a more successful franchise and franchisee team strengthening our brand and growth opportunity in NSW. David Lansbury

AMC launches into the domestic cleaning market P A G E 3 V O L U M E 1 , I S S U E 1

AMC Vic is the first state to launch our new Home Services division. This is a very exciting time as AMC believes there is a huge demand in this market. Fol-lowing the 6 month trial, a Na-tional launch will be announced.

This division is a sister company to AMC Commercial Cleaning. Whilst there is the backing and support from the AMC Commer-cial Cleaning team, the domestic business is managed separately. The marketing, logo, name and uniforms are different to AMC Commercial Cleaning. You can

see the colour theme in the pic-tures included in this article.

Domestic cleaning offers great flexibility, allowing you to work during school hours.

This division is fully supported by the AMC teams, ensuring that you have all the advice and equipment you need to make your business a success.

We welcome your enquiry about Franchisee opportunities. Please contact Rick Nash on 03 8769 6008 to discuss.

Those that know me in the indus-try will probably tell you just how passionate I am about cleaning, from both aesthetical and infection control perspectives. Yes, it’s true! I work tirelessly towards continuous improvement in clean-ing processes, whilst maintaining ‘best practice’ workplace safety measures, and always with an environmentally friendly focus. One main goal that I have is to foster long term relationships with our clients, Franchisees and all stakeholders, by delivering high quality cleaning services. The cru-cial elements that I constantly use involve transparent consultative inspections and audits, with a fo-cus on clarity between client ex-pectations and service delivery. I am very responsive to clients’ needs or concerns. I enjoy seeing cleaning problems being resolved and believe there is a solution for all challenges. Put simply, I care about what I do, and I truly enjoy helping people.

I have already met many clients, Franchisees, contractors and staff, and I look forward to meeting many more. I will continue con-tacting stakeholders over the next few weeks, and look forward to providing any support that you may need, in order to satisfy cli-ents’ cleaning expectations. Please feel free to call me earlier though, if you believe that I may be of any assistance.

Until then, all the very best to you!

With kind regards,

Tony.

I am very excited to be part of the AMC family, and in being ap-pointed State Area Manager for SA. I’ve held many roles through-out the Cleaning industry during the past 25 years. These have involved servicing department stores, office complexes, industrial sites, shopping centres, nursing homes, medical centres and bun-dled ‘hotel’ services in large public hospitals. Through my extensive hands-on cleaning and manage-ment experiences, I can relate to most people in our industry. This includes dealing with varied clean-ing issues from toilet blocks to sterile operating theatres, and from setting up cleaning rosters for small sites to directly managing hundreds of staff. I am also a certi-fied Auditor with study majors in Quality Management Systems, Risk Management and OHS&W Sys-tems, and have led and conducted numerous Aged Care Accredita-tion Audits throughout SA & NT.

of the world is the triumph of enthusiasm. Nothing great was ever achieved without it.” I agree. Think about that statement and keep it close to you.

Next, assess your interests. What do you love doing? What is your imagination presenting to you? Can you develop any of these inter-ests into a viable source of income? Can you come up with a personal blueprint? Do you have a foundation in place, or in the works, for this blueprint? Ask yourself these questions, cover your bases, and then move for-ward. Without momentum, you will simply be daydream-ing.

Very often the dividing line between success and failure is a lack of passion. I’ve known people who have had fantastic ideas who can’t

by Donald J. Trump Chairman, Trump University

There is an ingredient for success that is often overlooked, maybe because it sounds out of place in business lingo. But I know for a fact that it is abso-lutely necessary to achieve any kind of long lasting success, and I know this from experience. That ingredi-ent is passion.

Enthusiasm on a big scale equals pas-sion. If you don’t have passion, every-thing you do will fizzle out, or be me-diocre, at best. You have to love what you’re doing in order to make it in a big time way. People with passion never give up, because they’ll never have a reason to give up, no matter what their circumstances might be. It’s an intangible momentum that can make you indomitable.

Another way to see this clearly is to realize that passion conquers fear. This is an important fact when consid-ering achievement of any sort. Ralph Waldo Emerson said “Every great and commanding movement in the annals

seem to get them off the ground because they ap-proach everything passively. They think the idea will somehow get off the ground by itself, or that just coming up with the idea is enough. Let me tell you something—it’s not enough. It will never be enough. You have to put the idea into action. And if you don’t have the motiva-tion or enthusiasm to do it yourself, it’s likely your great idea will sit on top of your desk or inside your head for a long time to come.

Passion is a catalyst. Use it to your advantage and you can start achieving tremen-dous things. Whatever you do, don’t overlook or under-estimate this important in-gredient for success. It can take you to some amazing places!

Hope to see you there.

A key ingredient for success

Sunny Queensland Sunny one day perfect the next our Queensland Office has made some changes and we are welcoming new staff and sadly saying goodbye to others.
