This phenomenon was not lost on me. I often remark on the energy this vital class has brought to us. Couple that vibrancy with the rich and di- verse group of returning Lower Elementary children and Voila! We are enjoying an extraordinary cohort traversing the second plane of development! 0RQWHVVRUL MDUJRQ PDNHV VRPH QHZFRPHUV QHUYRXV VR , XVH LW FDXWLRXVO\ EXW WKHUH·V QR DYRLGLQJ WKH ´SODQHVµ WKDW VR FOHDUO\ GHILQH KXPDQ GHYHORSPHQW DQG WHDFK XV VR much about the children before us. The Lower Elementary child makes the great leap LQWR ZKDW 'U 0RQWHVVRUL FDOOHG WKH ´VHFRQG SODQH RI GHYHORSPHQWµ 7KLV FKLOG changes both physically and emotionally, and this transformation must be revered. This unique child is awestruck by the wonders of the world and drawn deeply into the ´ELJ ZRUNµ 0DWK SUREOHPV JHWV ODUJHU WLPHOLQHV JHW ORQJHU UHVHDUFK JRHV GHHSHU and the imagination is unleashed. He often exchanges order for the grandiose and solitude for the social. She needs answers, friends, justice and freedom. Here at The Cobb School the needs of the Lower Elementary child are met, and I am very proud of our Lower Elementary Team that works hard to guide each child through this three-\HDU F\FOH 7KLV ZHHN·V PRQWDJH WDNHV \RX LQWR WKH /(/ DQG OHW·V you see what we see every day: the healthy development of our 6-9 year olds in an environment prepared just for them. 7KLV ZHHN·V FROOHFWLRQ FHOHEUDWHV RXU /RZHU (OHPHQWDU\ $V WKH FKLOG PRYHV GRZQ the hallway at The Cobb School, the world becomes bigger as does his work.
