This research is aimed at comparing the academic achievement of seniors who studied

using interactive multimedia and those using module in the learning of AMF Power System in

    SMK Negeri 3 Yogyakarta.

The research was conducted in SMK Negeri 3 Yogyakarta of Electric Energy Utilization

Engineering Program. It is an experimental research using pretestposttest control group design.

The population consisted of the seniors as many as 139, while the sample consisted of 69

students. In the experiment class, the learning was conducted using learning media in the form of

interactive multimedia on the AMF Power System while a module was used in the control class.

The instrument used was a pretest and a posttest. The data obtained were analyzed using t-test, of

which normality and homogeneity had been tested.

The research results show that the learning method using interactive media on AMF

Power System provides a positive influence on the academic achievement, i.e. the average grade

of the experiment class (48.55) proves higher than that of the control class (45.18), meaning that

the posttest average grade of the experiment class is higher than that of the control class. There is

a difference (t count (2.90) > t table (1.99)) of the academic achievement between the students who

studied using interactive learning multimedia and those using module, in that the first achieve

better results in their study than the latter.
