Helping to bring a little festive sparkle to the lives of local deserving children at Christmas time
This Christmas CJS and Reed Recruitment are working together to help bring a little festive cheer to children across the South Coast with a Father Christmas Selection Box drop.
For most of us, Christmas is perhaps a time of great joy, indulgence and time spent with our loved ones. This sadly isn’t the case for a number of children.
With your help we would like to deliver a little Christmas stocking sparkle to a number of children’s homes and hospitals in the local area with a Christmas selection box each.
If you would like to help us with our appeal, please contact:
Christine on 023 9243 4500 or email her at [email protected]
and let her know how many selection boxes you are able to donate. Please arrange for all donations to be received by us by December 14th so that we have sufficient time to deliver to all in time for Christmas.
May we take this opportunity to thank you all for your generosity, support and custom throughout the year.

Monthly Product Focus Glass is a state of matter. It is a solid produced by cooling molten material so that the internal arrangement of atoms, or molecules, remains in a random or disordered state.
How to ensure glassware sparklesat Christmas
Drinking glasses are lovely to behold, until they start to develop that white film. It can be frustrating to deal with this film, but it helps to understand that it is just mineral deposits from water. If the water is particularly hard, meaning it contains quite a bit of mineralisation, the film shows up more quickly. The good news is that these deposits are easy to remove, and easy to keep from showing again.Cleaning in an Automatic DishwasherMany people opt to avoid putting drinking glasses in the dishwasher simply because of the film that can form on the glassware.
Those who want to use their dishwasher should ensure rinse aid is added to the rinse cup. For automatic glasswash machines, use Evans Glasswash (code 1606-05), a high active low foaming detergent
ensuring glasses are thoroughly clean and bright
Cleaning by HandCleaning drinking glasses by hand is one of the best ways to keep them sparkling clean.
First, run a sink of hot water and add just a few drops of dish soap to the water. Excessive amounts of soap can cause more streaking because the soap attracts more minerals and particles from the water. Gently wash the glassware with a a microfibre cloth and rinse the glassware thoroughly. Rinsing is the most important part of the process. Allow the glassware to air dry
upside down.

Ask an Expert Q. How do I stop glasses looking cloudy?
A. This is a common problem and is generally caused by the build up of limescale over time. It’s generally better to hand wash good quality glassware in warm soapy water, rinsing thoroughly afterwards and left to air dry. This is not practical in a commercial setting and a dishwasher is used. As such, it is always necessary to ensure that the dishwasher is topped up with salt and rinse aid when washing glasses and that a lower temperature wash cycle is chosen.
