GENERAL ANNUAL
MEETING
—The Annual General Meeting 2016 was held
at the premises of CCCI.
A new and very enthusiastic Board of
Directors has been elected. The new
Board appointed a new President and two
new Vice Presidents.

BUSINESS FORUMS
FRANKFURT, MUNICH
—In co-operation with CCCI and the Cyprus
Trade Centre in Germany, CGBA organised
two business forums, promoting Cyprus as
a base for business operations in the
MENA region, and as an advanced EU
jurisdiction for alternative funds companies
(EU-AIFs). 4

NETWORKING COCKTAIL
NICOSIA
—In Hilton Nicosia, with the attendance of the
Ambassadors of Germany, Switzerland,
Austria, Qatar, and Kuwait, bringing 100
attendees together.

NETWORKING COCKTAIL LIMASSOL
—At the Londa Hotel, Limassol, with the attendance
of the German Ambassador von Schöpff, a very
successful event, attended by 130 people.

2017, August 30
BUSINESS LUNCH WITH
POLITICAL DELEGATION
FROM SACHSEN-ANHALT
—Representatives of the Board of CGBA attended a
business lunch with political representatives of the
government and the parliament of Sachsen-Anhalt,
from Magdeburg, and the Head of Mission of the
German Embassy, Dr. Zanker.
The two groups discussed and evaluated possible
cooperations.

NETWORKING RECEPTION BERLIN
—Introducing CGBA to the economic and political
circles in Berlin, honoured by the appealing
keynote speaker Mr Uwe Beckmeyer,
Parliamentarian Secretary of State at the
German Ministry of Economy and Energy.

MEETING THE BOARD… AND MAYBE BECOME A PART OF IT!
ENTHUSIASTIC COMMITMENTThe current Board Members are keen to drive the Association to new
heights and to expand its scope of services. Therefore, it decided to
meet every last Tuesday of the month. In order to increase efficiency
and to better face the work load, the Board increased the number of
Vice Presidents to two.
