We’re excited to celebrate our 31st Annual Walk-A-Thon once again at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park! Join us for a fun day with our residents as we walk to raise support for the

ongoing quality care provided at David’s House.

Event Schedule

9:00-9:30 am Registration and light breakfast

10:00 am Announcements and prayer

10:15 am Walk begins

12:00 pm Dessert and awards ceremony

1:00 pm Departure or free time in the gardens

2. Set Your Goal

Special prizes will be awarded to participants raising over $500 and over $1,000. Our top 5 fundraisers may choose from the prizes listed in the Prizes section.

3. Secure Sponsors

Ask your friends, family, neighbors and co-workers to support you with pledges. Record your sponsors and pledge amounts on the provided sponsor sheet.

4. Collect Sponsorships

You’ll need to collect your sponsors’ pledges before event day (be sure to let them know they have the option to give online at dhmin.org). Please bring your sponsor sheet and pledges with you on event day.

REGISTERING ONLINE

1. Register by Friday, September 1 at dhmin.org/get-involved

This is a ticketed event. It’s very important that you register ahead of time! Let us know if you’re coming and how many will be attending with you. Please print your registration confirmation email and bring it with you on event day.

2. Create Your Free Fundraising Profile

At this year’s Walk-A-Thon, all your pledge-raising can now be done online! Visit the link above for details. Consider the amount of money you’ll raise. We encourage each participant to raise at least $300. Special prizes will be awarded to participants raising over $500 and over $1,000. Our top 5 fundraisers may choose from the prizes listed in the Prizes section.

3. Secure Sponsorships and Share

Ask your friends, family, neighbors and co-workers to sponsor you. Share the link to your personal fundraising page via social media or email. Even gifts made by cash or check can be manually added to your online fundraising total (just be sure to bring the pledges with you to the event).
