MAP Assessment April 28 - May 21
Bellevue Public Schools will administer the Measures of Academic Progress® (MAP®) beginning April 28th. MAP tests replaced the Terra Nova tests previously given. MAP tests present students with engaging, age-appropriate content. As a student responds to questions, the test responds to the student, adjusting up or down in difficulty. The result is a rewarding experience for the stu-dents, and a wealth of detailed information for teachers, parents and administrators. This data has allowed us to better meet the instructional needs of each student. Parents received the MAP reports in October and January. All students will take the MAP assessment between April 28th and May 21st. Reports from these tests will be used to measure academic growth and further guide instruction. Teachers will provide specific information about dates and times their classes will be testing. Please try to avoid scheduling doctor or dentist appointments during this time. Re-search has shown that students rarely perform as well when they have to make up a test.
Report Cards
Report Cards will be mailed home on
June 2nd.
Kindergarten Celebration
The Kindergarten Celebration will be held on Friday,
May 9th, at 2:00 p.m. Parents are invited to come cele-
brate with the students as they are recognized for their
accomplishments during the past year.
Enjoy your summer and don’t forget to read!
