attractions, it make Bali one of the most popular tourist destination in Indo-

nesia. ..."

These are stereotypes that we usually read. Bali, unfortunately, has become

extremely urbanized with excessive traffic without having the infrastructure of a big city and

the prices, that made the island attractive, have grown to reach US and European levels...

For those who love the town life or work there, the dream is to own a beautiful penthouse to

enjoy the view of the town from above and breathe a maybe little more clean air then down

below... but if a secluded location with all the comforts of a modern facility is a priority for

your tropical retreat and who really want to get away from the crowds, from noise, polluted

air and stress and if they can afford it, then will choose, yes, Indonesia but a small island

where the birds and the first sunray wake them up surrounded by a pristine environment.

Such experience is comparable to live on a sailboat but standing on the solid ground. And if

all around us, within a mile /10min. with a small boat, there are numerous islets, mostly de-

serted with a dazzling white sand broaden to the shallow waters donating the beautiful tur-

quoise color to the crystal clear water then that's "the dream".

I will not mention the constructions anti-seismic we have achieved, the warm timber used, the

glass with delightful artistic compositions, the swimming pool..., but to let you know that we

have solved all the handicaps that make difficult to live comfortably on a small island. We

have a source of unlimited pure water even in the dry season that allows us to have lakes,

streams and fountains that add idyllic environment with the sound of running water, open

spaces that give the so loved sense of freedom, groves where to relax and enjoy the nature

around. Flowers, colors and scents that are the delight of the eyes and the spirit everywhere.

tofiori, the sea to the east and west to give the colors of sunrise and sunset.

Hundreds of meters of beach to the east and west of a sheltered sea from the fury of the open

ocean thanks to the numerous islands and the coral reefs that are just off the coast.

A jetty just outside the entrance where our boat is moored so that, in any tide condition, you

can reach the other jetty on mainland connected to the garage enough for 2 cars. A road that

runs along the coast is just been redesigned and enlarged, connecting this part southwest of

Lombok with the port and the city in about 40min.

The southern part of Lombok is facing directly the Indian Ocean and offers wonderful aston-

ishing views but also huge waves, in fact it is the destination of many surfers who visit Lom-

bok, moreover at low tide hundred meters of sharp coral outcrops, is making unlikely to swim

or snorkel in these waters.

On the southwest coast of Lombok, the ocean is mostly calm and grants more available excur-

sions above and below its surface.

13 islands, some uninhabited and pristine, form a barrier that protects the waters inside and

numerous coral reefs are rising to announce the formation of new coral atolls. The fact is that

this conformation provides hundreds km of beaches and wonderful backdrops to enjoy the

biodiversity that is common to the waters around Indonesia.

In this particular corner of Indonesia safer activities are enjoyable in the absence of the

strong currents that exist in many of the other tourist sites which offering the same beauty of

the seabed are often dangerous for beginners like the northern islands of Lombok and Bali.

The location of Villa Centofiori, was our choice considering all these reasons and so it offers

in addition to the beauty of nature, not modified but bent to provide that level of comfort

that we liked to maintain: secluded location, protection from strong winds although sporadic,

from the violence of the open ocean, the possibility to carry out activities at sea in all weather

conditions having always available some safe destination and enjoying a stable temperature

around 30 degrees Celsius all year.
