At the Lancashire Infantry Museum you can explore the fascinating story of the Lancashire soldier in peace and war.

Come and see how the Lancashire Lad lived, worked and fought throughout the world from the founding of the Regiment by William of Orange in 1689 to the present day.

The extensive galleries, collections and archives illustratethe compelling story of some ofLancashire’s famous regiments including:

• The East Lancashire Regiment• The South Lancashire Regiment (PWV)• The Loyal North Lancashire Regiment• The Lancashire Regiment (PWV)• The Queen’s Lancashire Regiment• The Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment• as well as the Militia, Rifle Volunteers, Home Guard, Territorials and Cadets.

• We offer guided tours of the museum, prior booked and for a fee. Tours can be tailored for different ages and group interests.

• Family friendly with dress-up uniforms and special trails for youngsters.

• Education sessions for all Key Stage groups available. Advance booking and small fee required.

• Wish to trace a relative who served in one of our Regiments? For a donation our researchers may be able to help.

• Archives and reserve collections available by appointment.
