Peripheral nerves carry signals from the central nervous system to muscles, skin, and internal organs. Peripheral neuropathy occurs when this process is injured or damaged. Era came to Victoria as a bride, having graduated from Methodist Hospital School of Nursing, Houston, as a Registered Nurse. She was em- ployed by Citizens Hospital for 11 years.
She was active in Eastern Star, Decora, Club 20, First United Meth- odist Church and Citizens Hospital Pink Ladies.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jordan C. Ault.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Frances and John Merson of San Antonio; daugh- ter, Judy Coffman of Dallas; grand- children, Jordan and Jeffrey Merson and Cynthia Coffman; and many dear friends.
Visitation was held Thursday, April 27, at Rosewood Funeral Chap- els.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 28, at Rosewood Funeral Chapels with Rev. Laura Merrill officiating.
Graveside services were held Fri- day afternoon at2:30 p.m. at Lakeside Cemetery in Eagle Lake.
Arrangements were under the di- rection of Rosewood Funeral Chap- els.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, the Ameri- can Heart Association or Shiner's Crippled Childrens Hospital.
Sympathy is extended to the fam- ily in their loss.
Raymond "Speedy" Brasher, 64, of Huffman, passed away in Houston Northwest Hospital Wednesday, April 26, 2000.
He was bom January 18, 1936 in Eagle Lake to Charles Clifton Sr. and Louise Marek Brasher.
"Speedy" was welder in the oil field and co-owner of Associated Can- vas Products Inc.
He and Bebe Besch were married January 25, 1958.
A member of St. Phillip the Apostle Catholic Church, he had been a resident of Huffman for 25 years.
Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his wife, Bebe of Huffman; sons and daughter-in-law, James and Lynda Brasher and Clifton Brasher of Huffman; sisters, Georgie Pilcik and Lois Frank of Katy, Margie Morris of Buffalo and Jo Ann Herbig of Bellville; brothers, Benny Brasher of Patterson, Fred Brasher of Sealy and Charles Brasher of Huffman; bro- ther-in-law, Butch Besch and wife, Carol, of Columbus; two grandchil- dren, Jason Renfrow and Jennifer Fant; three great-grandchildren, Dy- lan, Hannah and Haley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 28, from Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus with Fa- ther Dan Kahlich officiating.
Interment followed at Odd Fel- lows Rest Cemetery in Columbus.
Arrangements were under the di-
rection of Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus.
Pallbearers were Travis Herbig, David Morris, Fred Brasher Jr., Casey Privette, Michael Pilcik and Jeff Woodruff.

Elida Mendoza Lucio, 51, of Ros- enberg, passed away April 26,2000 at Polly Ryon Memorial Hospital.
She was bom February 28,1949 in Eagle Lake to Patricio and Rita Men- doza.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Raul; two daughters, Anita Garza of Richmond and Tracey Lucio of Rosenberg; two grandchildren, Regina Lucio and Oscar Garza Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews, other rela- tives and loved ones.
