This symbol is derived from the vision of Constan�ne the Great, who replaced the eagle on the Roman standard by a cross-shaped emblem. Relief B The boat with the cross reminds us of pu�ng our trust in Jesus Christ, no ma�er how turbulent life seems. He never promised a smooth sailing; just a safe landing. The dove symbolizes God the Holy Spirit and is also the symbol of peace. Relief C The Chi Rho monogram is one of the oldest signs. Chi is the character X, Rho the character P; X and P are the first two characters of the word Christos (Greek). The symbol was o�en used as an inscrip�on in catacombs and graves. Relief D The cross-sign is the best known symbol of the Chris�an Faith. The La�n cross consists of a longer ver�cal beam and a shorter cross beam, but there are many different shapes and varia�ons.
