For finding fault with them, he said, Behold, the days come, says the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah;

Rev. 21:5 He who sits on the throne said, Behold, I am making all things new. New WineNew CovenantNew CreationNew JerusalemNew High PriestTherefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. But all things are of God, who reconciled us to himself through Jesus Christ, and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation; namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not reckoning to them their trespasses, and having committed to us the word of reconciliation. We are therefore ambassadors on behalf of Christ, as though God were entreating by us: we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf; so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. Matt. 9:17 Neither do people put new wine into old wineskins, or else the skins would burst, and the wine be spilled, and the skins ruined. No, they put new wine into fresh wineskins, and both are preserved.New Creation2Cor. 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. He said, Write, for these words of God are faithful and true.Olam Ha Ba (the world to come) and the Messianic Age One version of Olam Ha Ba does not describe it as a postmortem realm but as the end of time. It is not life after death but life after theMessiahcomes, when the righteous dead will be resurrected to live a second life.

(**We have been resurrected with Christ)

Belief in the eventual resurrection of the dead is a fundamental belief of traditional Judaism. It was a belief that distinguished thePharisees(intellectual ancestors ofRabbinical Judaism) from theSadducees. The Sadducees rejected the concept, because it is not explicitly mentioned in theTorah. The Pharisees found the concept implied in certain verses. Belief in resurrection of the dead is one ofRambam's13 Principles of Faith. The second blessing of theShemoneh Esrei prayer, which is recited three times daily, contains several references to resurrection. (Note: theReformmovement, which apparently rejects this belief, has rewritten the second blessing accordingly). The resurrection of the dead will occur in themessianic age, a time referred to in Hebrew as the Olam Ha-Ba, the World to Come, but that term is also used to refer to the spiritual afterlife. When themessiahcomes to initiate the perfect world of peace and prosperity, the righteous dead will be brought back to life and given the opportunity to experience the perfected world that their righteousness helped to create. The wicked dead will not be resurrected.

The Talmud states that with the future redemption, all non-Jews will return to G-d with complete Teshuva, as the verse states: "It will transform all nations to a pure language, that all of them will call in the name of G-d and worship Him of one accord." (Tzefaniah 3:9) Rashi comments: "It is understood that there will be no difference among (G-d's) servants. Israel and the nations will all serve G-d in the same manner, with all the mitzvot."However, Maimonides disagrees with this view. Although he writes that "all non-Jews will return and do Teshuva," he does not interpret this to mean that they will convert to Judaism. The non-Jews will all commit to fulfilling the seven Noachide laws that were commanded to all of mankind.Maimonides writes thus: "They... will all return to the true faith. They will not steal or destroy, but will only eat permissible food, in repose alongside the Jewish nation.**

The earth quaked and the rocks were split. 52 The tombs were opened, and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; 53 and coming out of the tombs after his resurrection, they entered into the holy city and appeared to many. (First fruits, first death, second death)Col 2:2 having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead. 13 You were dead through your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh. He made you alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, 14 wiping out the handwriting in ordinances which was against us; and he has taken it out of the way, nailing it to the cross; 15 having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it. John 6:39 This is the will of my Father who sent me, that of all he has given to me I should lose nothing, but should raise him up at the last day (escatos). 40 This is the will of the one who sent me, that everyone who sees the Son, and believes in him, should have eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day (escatos).[Jesus raised up on the last day]John 6:54 He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day (escatos).Ephesians 24 But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, 5 even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus;
