The PEACE of the Savior Matthew 21:2-3When Henry Norris Russell (1877-1957), Princeton astronomer had concluded a lecture on the Milky Way, a woman came to him and asked: “If our world is so little, and the universe is so great, can we believe that God pays any attention to us?” Dr. Russell replied, “That depends, madam, entirely on how big a God you believe in.”

Memorials of Peace

Don MacLean is quoted to have said

this, “Washington has a large

assortment of peace

monuments. We build one after every

war.”

I urge you this morning to view the end of this triumphal entry as being at the

cross where the greatest of war

memorials stands. It is the war memorial

for the ages, the battle of good and evil with the memorial being

the cross and the victory being Jesus Christ, the Prince of

Peace!

Psalm 118:22ff

“The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner. This is the LORD’S doing; it is marvelous in our eyes. This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Save now, I beseech thee, O LORD: O LORD, I beseech thee, send now prosperity. Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the LORD: we have blessed you out of the house of the LORD. God is the LORD, which hath showed us light: bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar.

Thou art my God, and I will praise thee: thou art my God, I will exalt thee. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endures for ever”
