Description: THE STEERING WHEEL WIRE HARNESS MAY BE TRAPPED BETWEEN ATAB ON THE STEERING WHEEL PLASTIC BACK COVER AND THE EDGE OF THEHORN PLATE.

THE WIRE HARNESS MAY RUB THROUGH THE WIRE INSULATION CREATING ASHORT WHICH COULD RESULT IN AN INADVERTENT DRIVER AIRBAGDEPLOYMENT. THIS CONDITION COULD INCREASE THE RISK OF A CRASH AND/ORINJURY TO VEHICLE OCCUPANTS.

Remedy: INSPECT THE STEERING WHEEL WIRE HARNESS AND REPAIR ORREPLACE IF NEEDED. INSTALL PROTECTIVE SLEEVES TO THE STEERING WHEELWIRE HARNESS TO PREVENT WIRE CHAFFING AND REMOVE THE TAB ON THESTEERING WHEEL PLASTIC BACK COVER.
