Berri District Youth Club Newsletter Term Four, 2017 The Final Countdown!!! The big day is almost here and we have a large group of club volunteers who will be helping us re-locate to Glassey Park over the summer break. More information will be posted on Facebook and website as we get closer to completing the stadium and we will then confirm a moving date. The floor coverings and tiling are now completed. Acromat are now manufacturing our new gymnastics equipment and we will begin to pack up our clubrooms after Presentation Day. A special closing down the Old Clubrooms ceremony will then be held. Details out soon. The Final Countdown!!!

The big day is almost here and we have a large group of club volunteers who will be helping us re-locate to Glassey Park over the summer break. More information will be posted on Facebook and website as we get closer to completing the stadium and we will then confirm a moving date. The floor coverings and tiling are now completed. New Clubrooms Update Pie Drive Fundraiser Thank you so much to everyone who sold pies and pasties this year.

Be a part of our Club History Donations from individuals, couples, families and businesses are now being sort for a special Donations Board to be permanently erected in our New Clubrooms foyer. Members will receive 10 BCM points for each donation. Ask Mum and Dad to check with their employer!! Platinum-$1,000 Gold-$800 Silver-$600 Bronze-$400 Information flyers are available from the front desk.

Grant Win We have been successful with a $20,000 grant through the Office for Recreation and Sport’s Active Club grant. The funds will go towards the purchase of a Sprung Floor for our new gymnasium. This means that gymnasts can now train on the floor that they complete on in Adelaide, we can hold competitive competitions, we will have more floor space to use in the gym and our end of year displays will be amazing!!

Kindergym Kids

All classes are now full Our second Kindergym session was a huge success with 90 children now registered with our pro-gram. We are now taking names for a waiting list for ages 6mths-4 years.

Christmas Parties Tuesday 12th December and Wednesday 13th December 9.30am-11.00am Includes a special morning tea and visit from Father Christmas.

New Equipment Thanks to everyone’s great fundraising efforts this year, we have finally been able to purchase a new Goliath Trampoline. The old one has been sent to the recycler to raise a few extra funds. A huge thank you to Jared and Chris Evans Transport for delivering our trampoline free of charge and to everyone who cleaned up the clubrooms and set up the trampoline. It will be well utilised by our members and school programs for the last part of the year.

Gymnastics Camp This year’s gymnastics camp took place in Adelaide over the October long weekend. Twenty three gymnasts took part and enjoyed a session at Gym SA, Circobats and Latitude with a sleepover at the Payneham Gymnastics Club. Thank you to Peter for driving the bus and to Cherie, Renee and Sarah for transporting all our extra gear. Thank you also to the coaches and parents.

Holiday Program Thank you to everyone who supported our last holiday program for the year. Make sure you book into next year’s programs with participants able to have a go in our new foam training pit!!!
