My native town Tselina• Tselina is one of the largest towns of Rostov region. (Целинского

района Ростовской области).• Its population is about 11,100 people.

RDS – 1RDS – 1• In this museum there are a lot of bombs

and they are very big. And one of them is the most interesting bomb. It is RDS – 1. This bomb isn’t very big but it can destroy a whole city. RDS – 1 was the first Soviet nuclear bomb.

We know there is a museum like ours in the USA. National Museum of Nuclear Science and History in Albuquerque, New Mexico.In this museum there is a bomb called «Fat Man». It is like RDS – 1. The «Fat Man» was detonated over Nagasaki, Japan on August 9, 1945.
