Navigating your way through the Virtual Learning Environment
This is the VLE home page.You can return to this screen by clicking on the ‘Home’ button on
the menu bar.
This button links you to the Knowledge Centreon the Member pages of the website
My Profile shows your contact details
This button gives you access to thediscussion forums
This entry shows your name and the last timeyou logged on to the VLE
This entry shows the courses you are enrolled for
All unread posts are displayed here. Once a post has been read, it will be removed from
this list
The Learning team will post generalannouncements to all students.
Note that announcements are for all modules and not just the module you are enrolled for.

Clicking on the ‘Forums’ tab on the menu barwill show the forums available to you.
The ‘Administration’ forum is used to conversewith the Learning team
The ‘Student common room’ in an unmoderated room where you can chat with
fellow students

The ‘Units’ contain additional study supportnot included in your study text, including
forum activities.
These are HTML and PDF versions of the textyou received in hard copy.
Complete the End of unit quizzes to track yourperformance on the progress report.
Your study plan give all your deadlines, aswell as other important dates.
Activities form an integral part of your courseand allow you to discuss issues with
your tutor and fellow students.To access the activities, open the study unit.

tutor and fellow students via the discussionForums.
