The Foothills Art Association Proudly Presents...

November 2nd to December 8th 2021

A Juried Fine Art Exhibit

From our Juror...

Tom Tiedeman

Our Juror for the 32nd Annual Wildlife in Art Show was the renowned Tom Tiedeman. Tom’s watercolors exhibit a bold contrast of lights and darks, realistic subjects on a loose background. Tom’s use of color is captivating and spices up his paintings. Tom currently teaches watercolor classes in Rancho Bernardo and at his Escondido, Tiedeman Watercolors home studio. “It was a pure pleasure viewing a total of 142 wonderful wildlife artworks that were entered into this year’s show at Foothills.   Then I had the tough task of only being able to jury-in just 80 artworks for exhibition in your Porter Hall Gallery.  I would have selected many more works if there was more gallery wall space to exhibit them.     But my biggest challenge was selecting the winning artworks/artists pieces...” (Tom had just 7 awards available to use and he would have liked to have recognized many more than 7).   “This was a great show that was full of high quality works to choose from.   Foothills and all who entered should be proud!”
