PUBLIC NOTICEThe Lackawanna Riv-
er Basin Sewer Author-ity (LRBSA) is proposing to construct the Vandling Pump Station Gravity Sew-er project which will allow the LRBSA to decommis-sion an existing wastewater pumping station located on Vine Street in Vandling Bor-ough. Sewage flow that is currently conveyed by the pumping station, would be conveyed entirely by grav-ity to the LRBSA’s Clin-ton Township wastewater treatment plant. The proj-ect involves the installa-tion of approximately 6,200 feet of 15” and 350 feet of 24” sewer main. There are no changes to the Clin-ton Township wastewater treatment plant under this project. The sewer project will connect to the existing sewer at the Clinton Town-ship wastewater treatment plant and cross through vacant property towards the existing pump station in Vandling Borough. The project area is bounded by State Route 171, State Route 247 and the Lacka-wanna River. This sewer project will cross through both Vandling Borough, Lackawanna County and Clinton Township, Wayne County.
The LRBSA is seeking funding from the Pennsyl-vania Infrastructure Invest-ment Authority (PennVest). The annual debt service to repay any PennVest loan received is not anticipated to result in an increase in user rates. A request is be-ing made to process the project which may include
