The Plant Sale Transformation Over Time...by MGF Board Member Penny Kriese

"2016 new Plant Sale name"

As Horst Momber, the leader of the Plant Sale for nearlyten years, says, the most important reason for the PlantSale is to build community. The sale is a once-a-yearopportunity for the whole of the King County MasterGardener community to come together beyond theirclinics, to interact, learn from their peers and share their passion forgardening.

Every year the new MG training class isinvited to become involved. Horstencourages interns to participate, rotatingtheir time so that they can work with thedifferent departments. Following their ownparticular interests, interns find theircommunity of MGs who like the samethings.
