The Fox River Cleanup Project is moving forward toward its goal of reducing the

levels of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) in the river through a combination of

dredging and capping.

The Fox River Cleanup Project is being conducted by the Lower Fox River

Remediation LLC, an entity created by Appleton Papers Inc. and NCR Corporation

for that purpose.

Dredging and/or capping is taking place from Little Rapids to the mouth of the river with oversight by the Wisconsin

DNR and U.S. EPA.

The safety of boaters, anglers and others using the river – as well as those working on

the project – is a top priority.
