What will future architecture look like?

What will architecture look like in the

future? Will people live in other plan-

ets? Or maybe live in underground or

under the ocean? There are so many

imaginations coming out of my mind.

I always interesting in architecture,

because I love the line and space of

the building that created by architects.

Following are several points that I

think the building will look like in the

next 10-20 years.

Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.

The London-based group-Archigram

pushes the relationship between

culture and science closer together,

and thus the world’s architecture

community has immediate impacts.

The importance of their works to the

international community is already

well known in this world. Their design

of home construction and urban

planning has radical definitions,

as well as their designs have more

aesthetic than the function. For

instance, the project –The Walking City

by Ron Herron in 1964, he design an

architecture that looks like robot and it

can move. They not only impacted the

British art of the 1960s also have great

impact in Europe, Japan and the U.S.

avant-garde architecture.

Because of the invention of Inter-net that makes people learn new thing easily, I think every differ-ent cultures in the world will con-nect closer. So the negative space becomes popular in the western. Designer will need to consider about how to make natural scene becomes part of the design. For example, there is a Japanese Ar-chitect who designs a church that uses light to create the symbol-Cross of Christianity.

Environment

Architecture is the art of how to waste space.

In my point of view, nowadays people will create more and more organic shapes house, because they are tired about geometric shapes and organic shape could be more corporate with environment. Such as Zaha Hadid who is an architect who consistently pushes the boundaries of architecture and urban design. She always use organic shapes in her design.

Because earth becomes weaker and weaker day by day, I think people will need to pay attention to how to protect environment when they build. The green building will have renewable energy heating system, net zero energy building (a structure that produces as much energy as it consumes). They will use natural and non-toxic building materials, and then devices capable of measuring the energy and water used by occupants, solar panels and solar hot water systems generating power for the households. Most important they can do recycle by themselves.

Function I noticed that now people want their

items to be smaller and functional. In

other words, one item could do almost

everything. In the future, architecture

will not only be for living, it will be

an artwork, and an energy saver…etc.

Such as a building that called Coop

Architecture is a visual art, and the buildings speak for themselves.

Office will be built the streamline

form shape to save wind power. Also, I

guess that the space will be extremely

small. This kind of High-density hous-

ing could give more space to raise

more people in the world.

Finally, I think my book will give you the self-imagined space of architecture.
