The Milan Design Week has come to enjoy international recognition as the major worldwide hub for Architecture and Design attracting well over 400,000 professionals from all corners of the world.
space&interiors, part of the Fuorisalone calendar of events, has appointed the Architecture practice “Stefano Boeri Architetti”, a firm that ranks amongst the world’s top architecture businesses, as its official Curator; the firm has developed a whole new concept as well as a new design for the event that are both exciting and engaging; exploring the future of dwelling in an atmosphere that is inspired by the Red Planet which has always been viewed as humankind’s next destination.
A revolutionary vision space & interiors is envisioning as taking shape on the Red Planet, Mars, going to be colonized by architectural products, design and tomorrow’s dwelling ways.

The Mall - Porta NuovaLocated in the heart of contemporary Milan, and as part of the Porta Nuova District, The Mall is set to become the hinge of the Innovation Design District for 2018 and beyond as this newly revamped site is already bustling with initiatives whilst enjoying a prime location within walking distance from the Brera Design District; a location that is both central and easily accessible.

The Architecture Firm was founded by Architect Stefano Boeri (known as Studio Boeri until 2008) and has offices in Milan, Shanghai and Tirana; the Firm has been focusing on Architecture and Urban Planning since 1993.
Among its major works the most outstanding are the Vertical Wood in Milan, The Tirana City Plan, The Méditerranée Villa in Marseilles, the restoration of the former Shanghai Stock Exchange and the Liuzhou Forest City; Stefano Boeri Architetti which is also active on the cultural front, has participated in many international Exhibitions and Events also as Curator.

“During the Fuorisalone 2018 we are happy to invite the general public and all industry professionals to explore the future of dwelling and the new place where mankind will move to in 100 years: Mars, the Red Planet. An interior product is bound to characterize as well as influence the unexplored Universe.
The Mall, right in the heart of the most innovative Milan, will be the closest of all far-away Planets.
A habitat that is ready to welcome new ideas, new products, a new culture and innovation in its broadest form.
A place that is ready to be “colonized”, and dwelled by the creativity of the Architecture”.

THE PROJECT
An immersive environment with a flowing path along which products and companies interact with the visitor within an intentionally-created free pattern that will be featuring elements set within the context of future dwelling as well as promotion of products and industry in-depths and that will be fostering contacts between participating companies and visitors.Video projections, relaxation areas and virtual reality spaces will greatly enhance the visitors’ experience.

EXPLORING PATHWAYS
space&interiors pathways will be flowing through installations, video projections, spaces where the visitors will experience new built environments through virtual reality; professionals of the Design Week will interact with the materials and the products for architecture and dwelling, ranging from finishes to surfaces, from wall coverings to doors, from paints to windows, from curtains to domotics and innovative products.

The Cluster is the place created for you where you can meet up and establish commercial relations with the explorers who will stop by to discover your products and solutions.The turn-key exhibit, of about 16 m2, is offered in 3 different layout solutions of your choice (Base 1, 2 or 3) which will be proposed based on the type of products you wish to showcase and may include one, two or three companies.
The Product Module is the space reserved only for the “product placement” along the Pathway which is coordinated by Stefano Boeri Architetti; the relation of the Product Module with the Base (as detailed above) allows for a stronger visibility of your company & products while helping to attract more visitors

Product Module
The Product Module is the space reserved only for the “product placement” along the Pathway which is coordinated by Stefano Boeri Architetti.It is an easy formula to present any product as it does not require the presence of any Sales people whom, however, can use the Lounge for meetings with clients.
The Product Module formula also includes
