9:00 - 9:30 am - Mix and Mingle/Welcome and Introductions (IC318).

9:30 – 10:30 am - Engaging Our Students for Deep Learning*This session is about designing your courses and assignments. We’ll look briefly at course design but focus largely on key factors that affect your students’ willingness and ability to partner with you for their learning. Clare Hasenkampf, Director, Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL); (*Deep learning is learning that lasts and can be used to perform meaningful tasks.)

12:00 – 1:00 pm - LUNCH 1:00 - 2:00 pm - Designing Courses Focused on Student Learning Sarah King, Coordinator, Writing Centre and Zohreh Shahbazi, Coordinator, Math and Statistics Learning Centre. (IC318).

2:15 – 3:30 pm - Academic Integrity - Members of the AIM (Academic Integrity Matters) team will introduce their innovative workshop for students on academic integrity and discuss challenges, faculty responsibilities, and proactive strategies for fostering a climate of academic integrity on campus and in the classroom.
