    2. HOW DOES IT RELATE IN BUSINESS ETHICS?

    Business Ethics are moral principles that guide the way busines

    behaves and the way we treat other people, i.e., treating peop

    all fairness, in good a way, doing good deeds.

    The Golden Rule imposes on each of us an independent,enduring moral obligation to help and be kind to others eventhey ignore their similar obligations to us.

    The Golden Rule is not a rule of investment: do unto others

    they will do unto to you.

    In business, politics, and even personal relationship

    it is often an advantage to evoke the kind of fear-

    induced respect sought by every street hood.

    At the heart of the Golden Rule is compassion and

    consideration for othersthe ability to put oneself

    in their shoes and consider how they might feel

    about a given act. It reduces the tendency to

    exploit those in a weaker position.

    Every reputable profession needs to hold a specia

    position of trust within society. That is to recognize

    continued public trust is based on the commitmenhigh ethical standards within the company and tha

    speaks to the equally high standards of the individ

    within the company. This all begins at the top. If in

    is not there it will not exist long at the lower levels

    the responsibility of the person at the top to make known by example and character that nothing less

    be tolerated.

    Each employee should deal fairly with all counter-part

    vendors, competitors, and other employees at all time

    goes back to the golden rule. There are no ethics thathere sometimes but not there sometimes. There are n

    'business' ethics. Around the world religious and cultu

    differences may vary but the golden rule stands solid.
