• To develop sustainable products, services and implementation models that protect, promote and nurture healthy child and brain development in the first 1000 days at scale with lasting impact on human capital in low resource settings.

Round 1B, Economic grants:• Launched October 2011• Funded 2 consortia, 18 Months• Total investment: $4.66M

Solution Phase: Scaling

Round 2:• Launched November 2012• 10 24-mo seed projects: $2.7M• 3 34-mo Transition-to-Scale projects: $6.0M• Total investment: $8.7M

Round 3:• Launched October 2013• 13 24-mo seed projects; TTS pending• Includes 3 co-funded Brazilian grants• Total investment to date: $3.5M

Round 4:• Proposals currently under peer review

Saving Brains in a sustainable manner, at scale, requires committed, engaged, aligned organizations who can bring their resources and expertise to bear. For example:

• Global partners to support innovations globally

• Regional partners to support innovations within regions of interest

• Implementation partners to inform current needs for innovation and rapidly take up innovations for impact at scale

• Corporate partners to support the scaling of specific innovations aligned with their core business
