The Great Music Staff Race
Aim of the Game
The aim of the game is to create a melody and be the first to arrive at the “Fine”
(the end).
Rules
Each player roles a rhythm dice - whoever roles the longest note, goes first.
(Take turns clockwise).
The players decide on a time signature and write this at the start – each bar
from now on must add up to the correct value of beats.
1. Role pitch and rhythm dice and draw the note or rest into the first bar.
a. If the note does not fit into the bar then the player must divide the
note up so it fills the bar they are in and then any extra duration of
note is tied over to the next bar.
2. The first player to enter each bar must pick up a “performance card” and
complete the instructions.
3. The next player takes his turn, and rolls the dice adding his note onto the
melody.
4. Whoever reaches the “fine” first is the winner.
