We are sorry to bear the sad news of the passing of Patty’s Father and we understand the circumstances that had Patty with her family in Arlington during this difficult time. She thanks all those that helped with the September meeting. She said it was so comforting to know she could count on her DKG sisters at this sad time. She appreciated all the cards and phone calls and she will be back to chair our October Meeting.
Where were you Monday, September 19th? You missed a great meeting. Members at the meeting had a great time. Beverly Richard helped us Get the Scoop on New and Reinstatement Members. She used a favorite old song “Make New Friends, But Keep the Old, One is Silver and the Other Gold” then we scooped up some silver and gold chocolate candy. This led to our discussion about membership. Beverly explained what we are doing to bring in new members. Several prospective members were in attendance and are ready to join. Everyone is invited to a “happening” at our next meeting. Mr. Andress will speak about his company and fire safety. Bring family and friends. New members will also be voted on so see you on October 17

From the Program of Work
Our October meeting is entitled “Get the Scoop on Home Safety”. All of us are concerned about the safety of our loved ones and our property. In this age of new technology, it is important to stay updated and current in our protection. Eileen Wildy has arranged for Mr. Hunter Andress, with Five Star Fire Detention, to present the latest Fire Protection Products. This presentation should bring to our attention some ways to help keep us safe!

From the Technology Committee
Great to have October Smith‘s input on our committee. We are fortunate to have someone who has the latest “Scoop on Technology “working on our committee.
She has almost completed her work for a PHD in Technology. We are planning to use her expertise in making changes to our website that will make it more useful to our members and even present a tour of it in the future.
We are asking each of you to check our list of members who have not completed the Technology Permission Form. The list will be on the table when you arrive at our meeting. If your name is on the list, please complete the form and retur it to me.
