We will also discuss goods and services in communities. •Please check your child’s homework each night. •Next week we will do an in-depth study of nonfiction text features. Our nonfiction read alouds will center around bats. •In reader’s workshop we will learn how to take information we read and categorize it. •In writer’s workshop we will write for a curious audience as •Next week in math we will work on repeated addition, repeated addition with arrays, and even and odd numbers. •If you have not returned your child’s signed Chapter 1 Math Test, please do so ASAP. •Continue to practice math facts daily. Alternate between addition and subtraction. Or combine addition and subtraction by using the same fact families.

•Next week we will attend a fire prevention program on Monday.•School Picture Day – Thursday October 17th. •We will begin to compare and contrast urban, rural, and suburban communities next week in social studies. We will also discuss goods and services in communities.•Please check your child’s homework each night.

•Next week we will do an in-depth study of nonfiction text features. •Next week in math we will work on repeated addition, repeated addition with arrays, and even and odd numbers.
