Easter is fast approaching! The
graphic below gives you an
overview of some of the services
and events at St. John’s over April
and the Easter period. There is
much to enrich your spiritual life, to
challenge you and to encourage
you in your faith. Here are the
details. If you would like further

Sunday 9th April Palm Sunday
Journey: Normal services plus All
Age Palm Sunday Service @ 10am
with procession for children in
Church.
Thursday 13th April 8pm The Last
Supper Experience
Explore Passover, Last Supper
and how Communion originated
Connect with your ancestors in
God!.....Share a good meal
together in Church…..Enjoy fun
and community…..For ages 10 to
100+!.....Email Alan, Anne or
Christine to book your place
Thursday 13th April 10pm till
Midnight) The Watch
Time to sit awhile as we keep the
watch and remember Jesus in the
Garden of Gethsemane, preparing
for his journey to the Cross.
Friday 14th April Good Friday
9.30 – 10.30 Good Friday Service
for all Churches, held here at St.
John’s
10.30 – 11.30 Walk of Witness
from St. John’s up Long Lane to
Hillingdon Baptist Church. Meet
outside The Vine @ 10.30 if you
are not in the service.
11.30 (approx.) Short Open Air
Service at Hillingdon Circus
11.45 + Lunch - soup, bread &
cheese lunch at Hillingdon Baptist
Church – pay on entry, no tickets
£2 Adult, £1 child, £5 Family.
2pm Journey to the Cross at St
John’s. Good Friday reflections as
we consider the things Jesus
carried to the Cross.

Other News in Brief
Sadly we have to report that lead
was stolen from the roof of the
Grundon Room at the end of
February. A temporary cover is
being put in place whilst a decision
is taken about a permanent
replacement.
The cake sale for Comic Relief
raised £300 Thankyou to all our
bakers.
Live music at St John’s: the recent
Stardust concert was a huge
success and there are two more
concerts coming up soon. (see
below). Our weekday lunchtime
sessions (alternate Tuesdays,
every Thursday & Friday)
continue and are free. Why not
pop along with your lunchtime
sandwich and listen in?
