In today’s multicultural society, it is getting more difficult to plan a holiday concert. This arrangement successfully com-bines a Christmas song, a Chanukah song and a New Year’s song for your orchestra. Each section of the orchestra gets an opportunity to shine. The piece begins with “We Wish You a Merry Christmas.” “The Dreidel Song” (a popular Chanukah song) follows, with the melody shared between the cellos and woodwinds. To bring everyone together, the perennial favorite New Year’s song “Auld Lang Syne” brings the piece to a rousing conclusion. Involve the audience or your school choir by using the optional vocal part. The keys chosen for this arrangement are ideal for your orchestra and offer a comfortable range for singers.
