With tables and chairs, the theatre can seat 142 people. The floors of the theatre and balcony areas are of hardwood oak. A new sound and digital projection system has been installed. Three newly installed heat pumps provide heating and cooling. The Star Theatre is situated between the Downtown Cafe and the Bull Mountain Arts Cooperative. The Downtown Cafe provides fine dining as well as catering services for The Star's dinner theatre events. The Bull Mountain Arts Cooperative houses an array of crafts and artwork by local artisans. The town of Stuart is the county seat of Patrick County which is part of "The Crooked Mile", attracting tourists to the area to appreciate the art, music and crafts associated with the Appalachian Mountains.
