Summary

During this course, you will gain a better understanding of the history of anti-semitism and the cultural attitudes surrounding the Holocaust. We will be looking at the following topics: Religion as a race; Development of Jewish segregation during the Nazi regime; Life in the Camps; Perpetrators, Victims, and By-Standers; and the connections to the modern world.

Subject Area

This unit will target English and Social Studies teachers as it directly relates to their core curriculum and content ceu’s. However, all teachers may take this for a technology ceu.

Approximate Time Needed

This course will be held for 8 weeks. The majority of the work will be online using moodle. There will be 3 face-to-face meetings in which topics of interest will be presented by featured speakers.
