We learn from Jesus' discourse We learn from Jesus' discourse in the upper room that he called in the upper room that he called the Holy Spirit the "Paraclete": the Holy Spirit the "Paraclete": "I will pray the Father, and he "I will pray the Father, and he
will send you another Paraclete, will send you another Paraclete, to be with you forever" to be with you forever"
(Jn 14:16). (Jn 14:16). Similarly we read in other texts: Similarly we read in other texts: "the Paraclete, the Holy Spirit" "the Paraclete, the Holy Spirit"
(cf. Jn 14:16; 15:26; 16:7). (cf. Jn 14:16; 15:26; 16:7). Instead of Instead of "Paraclete""Paraclete" many many translations use the word translations use the word
