I would like to take this opportunity to say how proud I am of our students for all that they have accomplished so far this year. As we mentioned at the start of this year, our school-wide focus has been and will continue to be on helping our students develop a “Growth Mind-set”. With a “Growth Mindset”, we operate under the belief that we can learn to do anything that we put our minds to, regardless of talent or natural ability. We believe that success is a direct result of the amount of effort that we put into learning and overcom-
ing obstacles. We believe in the power of “yet”... Rather than saying “I can’t do that.”, we encourage one another to say “I can’t do that YET.” Please join us in our quest to cultivate a Growth Mindset in our students by reading the articles (links below) and finding opportunities to talk to them about it on a regular basis.
On another note, I truly hope that each and everyone of you get to en-joy some quality family time over the

from classical, movie, popular, and jazz gen-
res as they celebrated this most exciting time of
the year. If you missed it, or just want to watch
the performance again, the video will be aired
on WLX-TV "The St. Lucie Education Channel"
during the winter break between December
19th and January 4th. In the meantime, photos
from the event are included on page 4.

Student
Council
The 2015-2016 Student Council, led by Ms. Morgan Kellogg, recently met to discuss upcoming projects that they plan to work on for the remainder of this school year. Among the students’ ideas included -holding a "Give Back" week in December. They have picked specific organizations and groups within the community and school to give back to. They dis-cussed establishing a student court on campus and a student-based counseling organization and leading a campus clean-up day. They decided on calling Habitat for Humanity of Port St. Lucie to gather information about service within the community.
There will be no Student of the Month Celebration in Decem-
ber. We will resume the celebrations in January, 2016.
