tools are lightning fast and flexible. Filling a diastema or fixing an unfortunate smile has never required so little effort. Pick up color and structure from one place and paint it on another part of the image. Copy a tooth, flip it and drag it in place over a damaged tooth on the opposite side. Insert clip art smiles from your own library or the Lorin Library, which is an add-on module.

DON’T BE BLIND SIDEDAll image management software programs

capture, store and retrieve digital radiographs and still video images. Most do cosmetic imaging. Problem is, most image management software makes you follow their program. And works with their equipment only and their brand of practice management software that, of course, may not be the one you’d choose. There’s an incompatibility built into their programs, which forces you to follow their rules and be restricted to their software – a closed system that limits your flexibility and your options: tunnel vision.

AN OPEN SYSTEM – DEVELOPED BY DENTISTS FOR DENTISTS

It all goes back to the way we developed DentalEye: with dentists for dentists. We studied their workflow, the way they shoot and use images. We studied their habits and office practices. And concluded that what they needed was an easy-to-learn, intuitive and reliable system able to seamlessly integrate the latest and greatest innovations in dentistry. And most importantly, didn’t anchor them to a PC all day.

A FOCUS ON FLEXIBILITYDentalEye gives you a 360° view of all the

available technology…and the future. It works with most x-ray devices and cameras on the market. Even if you’re using a different sensor in each exam room. Even if you’re using an image plate scanner, we have you covered.

SO SOPHISTICATED, IT’S SIMPLESHOOT – DentalEye templates make shooting and displaying images a snap. Use the standard template when shooting a bitewing series and you don’t even have to touch the computer until you’re finished shooting the series. When you do shoot, the template automatically places the image in the right frame, rotated and enhanced as you wish.

The template even adds information to the image such as tooth group, and which

individual teeth are covered, image type and comments, etc. And it is done automatically without you having to lift a finger. DentalEye even allows you to use your own custom templates. Again, it adapts to you and the way you choose to work.

MANIPULATE – Once you have your images in place in the image cards, DentalEye allows you to manipulate them to suit your very specific needs.

Manipulate grayscale and color, contrast and brightness. Optimize selected areas for maximum clarity. Adjust for exposure, position and rotate in 90-degree increments. Draw lines and shapes. Create pointers. Measure angles and lengths, and write notes. You can even change to another template if you want to add a few images to the bitewing series.

OPTIMIZE – We’ve even included advanced optimizing features that let you compensate for exponential x-ray attenuation and a color scale specially developed for use in dental radiology. The image enhancement tools can also be set as a default, minimizing the need to play with them.

STORE – When you’ve got your images looking exactly the way you want them to look, save them. DentalEye always stores the original image and the enhancements separately. This enables you to revert back to the original at any time.

DISPLAY – With DentalEye, images are displayed in image cards on your computer, just as they were in the old plastic folder mounts. They’re listed right on the screen making it easy to find an image card.

Compare last year’s bitewing series with this

year’s. Just select a second image card from the list and the two appear together. Or you can call up images one by one, then drag and drop them into a new image card to present a case. It’s incredibly easy.

SEARCH – If you need to search for images, our multiple search criteria function makes it fast and easy. With DentalEye, you can even retrieve digital images by date or quadrant in the blink of an eye.

IMPORT/EXPORT AND PRINT – DentalEye also allows you to import and export all standard formats including DICOM-standard images.

DENTALEYE GROWS WITH YOU

Getting started is easy. Even our basic version has all the depth you can dream of. That’s one reason we were able to sell our system to half the dental schools in the country, the US Air Force and Veterans Administration, among others.

CAMERA, DIGITAL AND INTRAORAL

Take a series of pictures with your digital camera. Connect it to the PC and DentalEye imports the pictures to the patient file rotated and in the right frames directly into a DentalEye template. If you want, set it up so that the pictures are deleted from the camera when imported and the camera is ready for the next patient.

Use the intraoral camera to show your patient what needs to be done and to save a “before” picture for quality assurance.
