ADVOCATING FOR PDHPEYoung learners need to learn through active involvement and concrete experiences. Play is an important means of learning in the early years. In this key learning area, students have the opportunity to develop skills, values and attitudes that encourage responsible decision making about issues such as drug use and child protection. The development of skills such as communication, decision making, interacting and problem solving require significantly more time than acquiring knowledge alone.
