Home based business have been all the rage that last

20 years or so, and rightly so. People have been flocking

to start a home based business for a number of really

good reasons. To supplement their income, or even to quit

a job that they hate or to avoid a layoff or downsizing,

if they can. But the more positive reasons they

want to start a home based business is because they

really want to have their OWN and be self sufficient. With

they comes along freedom of many types. The ability to

control their time and efforts to maybe even care for

a loved one or children. And one of the most important

reason is to protect themselves from the unexpected

roller coaster rides of bad economies. All great reasons.

The concept of a home based business has been around

for decades and even centuries back to the dawn of time.

Back in the olden days, towns or villages were spread

apart by long distances. People had farms along the trails

between towns and to make ends meet and better, they

would sell the food they grew, clothing and

trinkets they made, supplies and even lodging to travelers.

But everything old is new again.....

Now all of that is digitized and on the internet. It is

sometimes wondrous how much the internet has changed

our lives, even home based businesses. Now people on the

net are traveling the roads and trails of the information

super highway. Traveling from one site to another and

stumble upon something interesting, like your home

based business.

But you know what is interesting, the internet is growing

at a vast rate.

March 15, 2010 was the 25th anniversary of the internet.

At that time there were 1 Billion internet users worldwide.

Ecommerce is at a whopping $1.5 Trillion per year.

What is interesting is that forecast indicate that those numbers will DOUBLE by 2013! That is incredible.

25 years to grow to 1 Billion users and 3 years to more than double to 2.2 Billion users worldwide. Ecommerce is expected to double to over $3 Billion. So what does that mean?

There will be even more "travelers" on the information

super highway. Spending even more money on the internet.

All traveling from one site to another, along the way

finding interesting things that they need from home

based businesses that are online.

The internet takes the tradition way of doing business and

puts it on steroids. Things can happen very quickly with

the use of the internet. And even if you do not know how to
