Life offered me challenges since childhood. At the age of 4, I was
diagnosed with leprosy in Chandag Leprosy Mission Hospital,
Uttarakhand; they referred me to Barabanki for medication.
Traveling alone for regular treatment was very difficult, but I had
to do it, since I was the eldest daughter among five and my father
was the only bread winner. Later, it was suggested that I should
join Faizabad Leprosy Mission School and my medical care could be
continued from Faizabad hospital. But the school closed soon.
Thereafter I went back home and completed my studies.
Whenever I was admitted in hospital for the treatment, I daily
attended the morning devotion without fail. That sowed the seed for
my faith and helped me come closer to God. In 1995, I accepted the
Lord as my personal saviour and joined Methodist church. God
worked on things that were close to my heart, especially as I
pondered over the meaning of life. I was struck by love and service:
In Christ's death, God vanquished evil, and by His resurrection, He
brought life and hope to all.
Later, I got trained in smear test and Lab technician course from
Purulia and started working in Barabanki. After few years, I got
married to a staff member of Barabanki Hospital. The Lord blessed
me with two lovely daughters. The elder one is pursing BSc Nursing
with the help of TLMTI and younger one is still in school. My
husband left for heavenly abode 1995.
During the downtrodden times of life, I always recall the Lord's
words
And my response to it would be
That's all I can do.
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also
in me.” John 14:1
I would say don't give up. Certainly pray. And talk to Jesus. He is
the best person to go to.
‘I take care of the birds in the air and the flowers. How much
more will I take care of you?’ ‘I know
He loves me so I'll keep praying.’

The need of one full time medical officer to run the day to day OPD and raise more contribution towards
the need of Snehalaya.
All the residents who are very old and not able to walk properly in our Snehalaya.
Fundraising activities to support and fulfill the needs of Snehalaya Almora.
New hospital plan development to run daily OPD with Lab and Pharmacy facilities.

The appointment of Mr Deepak Tiwari who joined TLM Champa as Business Office Head on 18th May 2016. May God help him to take up the responsibilities.

The fruitful visit of Dr Jerry Joshua on 5th and 6th May and general surgeries that were done for 5 patients.
Video programme on awareness on different health topics including WASH, Pneumonia, and addiction in 34 villages in Melghat area, partnership with World Vision India in April and May and safe travel of the team who went for this every day.
Supriya who had below knee amputation of her right leg, able to walk again after 6 years and her Jaipur foot (rubber‐based prosthetic) is donated by Rotary Club of Achalpur.

A disaster management training which was arranged by TLM Shahdara with the help of EHA on 17 May 2016.
'Sharing and learning ‐ livelihood Options', in which nearly 200 SHG members participated in the programme. Also three new SHGs started at Tahirpur last month.

'Life Skill' training for adolescents staying in leprosy colonies, to be started.

• God’s help in all the staff working in the Mission understand the strategic priorities and work toward
