Tom was a boy who lived in an apartment in Vancouver. Tom was no ordinary kidhe was a half blood, a son of Zeus to be more precise. After he had been claimedby his father, Tom’s life had changed. Tom lived with his mother Susan. Hismother gained a lot of powers because she was married to a god. These powerswere important for toms training, for example she was given more wisdom. Hismother did not let him use electronics with friends because if he did he wouldexplode the computer or game console. If he did play, his mother would tell him tocount to up to ten so he would calm down. The two of them pretended to live anormal life but they also moved every 6 months to get away from danger. Theyalways fought monsters, but when people saw the fight they didn’t care. Hismother bended the mist (one of his mother’s powers) secret of demigods where ifyou fight a monster the mortals will see nothing just you walking or jogging. Oneday tom wanted to go out alone.His mother tried to tell him “don’t do it” but, hewent anyway. It was 4 pm, he walked down the street and always heard a roaringnoise. It was faint but he heard it. He went in the arcade, his favourite place tohave fun with friends but they were not there. He played his favourite games (Pacman) then he went out. Then, when he left the room, He saw a monster. Thismonster was no regular monster but a hydra. This hydra was seeking revenge ona son of Zeus because of what Hercules had done to him. The monster was on arampage and this time the people did see the fight. Tom had practiced his powersbut not on a monster with many heads. He struck his first miniature lightning boltat his head. It took off one of the heads off, but he grew two in the spot. He keptdoing that then came up with a plan. He ran up to the hydra got a mini lightningbolt and cut him in half. This was so the hydra could not move. Then, he sent anelectric shock to the beast. The faces of the hydra turned red then burned intoashes. Tom had won but everyone was staring with glowing eyes at him thinkingwho was this guy? He remembered how to bend the mist like his mother had toldhim. He then changed what the public saw. He then ran home scared of what theywill do to him. When he got home He told his mom what at happened her, hismother was happy he was alive but sad that a monster attacked him. Tom thenwent to his room tired, fell on his bed, and slept thinking (I’m happy I listened tomy mom)
