The Karachi Port Trust (KPT) has purchased two 70-ton bollardpull (tbp) ASD Tugs from a Turkish shipbuilding firm for 16 millioneuros (Rs 1.84 billion). Letter of Award was placed on M/s. UzmarShipbuilding – Turkey, on 19-06-2009. First tug MT Ghauri isexpected to arrive Karachi by 1st week of March 2010 and the 2nd

tug is expected to arrive in end of March 2010.
