Coral Reef ElementaryKaley is in her final year of elementary school! My how time flies! Kaley continues to sing in the chorus and is up for her first solo performance at this year’s Christmas show. She is also a member of the Safety Patrol team, a job only 5th graders can apply for. Keep up the good work Kaley!

The Kelly’s lost their beloved dog L.C. this past October. An extremely sweet & loving dog, who was part of the family for more than 12 years. L.C. was truly a blessing in their lives and she will never be forgotten.

Kaley’s CornerKaley turned 10 this year and is in the 5th grade! In June she celebrated her birthday with her friend Carina, who is just one day older! The girls celebrated together with a bowling party!

Over the summer, Kaley and her mom spent 5 days in north Georgia! Make sure you check out the Travel Section on page 2! In July, Kaley spent a whole 2 weeks up at Camp Villages with her grandparents.

Earlier this year, Kaley started taking Taekwondo lessons. She’s shown incredible strength and ability in this sport. Currently a yellow belt, she’ll be testing for her yellow belt decided (yellow with black stripe) this December.

Looking ahead to middle school next year, she has her sites set on the drama magnet program. She’s currently taking acting classes with the Miami Children’s Theater.

Kaley and Amy started volunteering with Friend’s Forever Rescue this year. When time allows they help out at the shelter and on adoption days at PetSmart. A big thanks to Jaime & Rachel Seymour-Newton, for getting the girls started with the Rescue. Kaley is a part of Rachel’s club, which raises money for the dogs.

This year for her fall trip, Amy visited her aunt in Ashburn, VA! They visited Shenandoah National Park and Gettysburg National Military Park! Turns out she picked the perfect weekend to go and the colors and weather were fantastic!

Virginia Weekend GetawayOctober 21-24, 2011

The girls spent 5 days in north Georgia back in June at the start of Kaley’s summer vacation. They flew to Atlanta and rented a car for their journey. They visited Six Flags over Atlanta, hiked to waterfalls, visited Lookout Mountain in Tennessee, panned for gold, tubed down the Chatahoochee River and watched a baby be delivered at the Cabbage Patch Babyland General Hospital! For Spring Break this year, Kaley and Amy spent 4 days in Orlando. They visited Downtown Disney, Epcot, Animal Kingdom and the Magic Kingdom.

When Santa asked Kaley what she wanted for Christmas this year, she pulled out her hand written note and read it to him! Santa let out a jolly laugh!

This is Pretzel! She is a Russian Dwarf Hamster who was adopted into the Kelly family on November 12th. She is very energetic and a lot of fun to play with. She loves her new hamster home and she also enjoys to eat and run on her wheel.
