PastorPhiltalkedaboutakeythatgivesustheconfidenceortheGodfidencetoknowthedifferencebetweenanexitorthenextit.Whenwelookin2Corinthians2:12weseethatPaulisgiventheopportunitytopreachtoAsia,buttheHolySpiritinstructedhimnottodoit.Paulrespondsasanyofuswouldandbelievesthisisanopendoortosharethegospel,soheignorestheHolySpiritthinkingitsprobablytheenemy.TheHolySpiritleadinggetsstrongerandPaulrecognizesthatGodisshowinghimthatthisisnottheopendoorhethinksitisandheobeysGodbynotgoing.AssoonasPaulrespondedinobedience,anotherdooropenedforPaultopreachtoMacedoniawhichthenleadtotheGentileshearingthegospel.TheHolySpiritisourguidetohelpingrecognizedoorsthatareopeningbyGodthatwemustwalkthroughanddoorsthatneedtobeclosedinourlives.

InscripturewelearnthatthekeyisreferredtoastheKeyofDavid.DavidwasthefirsthumanbeingtoconnectthedotsofwhatGodiswantingfromusworship.Daviddiscoveredthattheonlygapbetweenheavenandearthisworship.HerealizedthathewasaspiritandcouldconnecttoGod(whoisalsoaspirit)throughworshipping.

Weoftenforgetaboutworship.Wearesostimulatedconstantlybyourfivesensesthatweignoreourspiritbeing.Cultureputsamajoremphasisonthefivesensesandcausesustofocusonexternalthings.DavidwasworshippingGodandgettingintoHispresencebeforeitwasevenlegal!ThepresenceofGodwasamajordealintheoldtestamentanditwasreservedforthehighpriesttoenterintotheholyofholiesafterfollowingaverystrictprotocol(foratemporarycleansingofsin).WhenJesusdiedoncalvaryandroseagain,thebibleteachesusthattheveilinthetempleintheholyofholieswasrippedintwo(symbolicofthefactthatwecannowenterinGodspresencewithboldnessbecauseofwhatJesushasdoneforus).

3.HowDoWeUsetheKey?Throughoutourliveswelearnthatcloseddoorsarejustasvitalasopendoors.ScripturereferstoGodasboththeAlpha(beginning)andtheOmega(theend).WeoftenthinkofGodassomeonewhoopensnewdoorsofopportunityforusbutweoftenforgetthatHeisalsotheOnewhoclosesdoorsforus.VinceLombardioncesaidQuittersneverwinandwinnersneverquit.However,thetruthisthatJesusneversaiditbecausewinnersdoquit.Theyquittherightthingsattherighttime.Itsimportantforustounderstandthecurrentseasonwearein.ThekeyisbeingabletolistentotheHolySpiritandallowingHimtodirectoursteps.ThereisadirectcorrelationbetweenworshippingGod(gettingintoHispresence)andlearningtohearthevoiceoftheHolySpirit.PastorPhilencouragedustousethiskeyofDavid,andworshipGodeverydayfor57minutes.ThisdailydisciplinewillleadtoknowingandhearingthevoiceofGodwhichwillguideusthrougheveryseasoninourlivesfromthebigthings,tothelittlethingswemustmakedecisionson.Conclusion:WorshipistheKeyofDavidandweareabletoaccessthiskeyanytimewewant.WeweremadetoworshipGodandbeinHispresence.Spendatleast57minutesadayworshippingGodandyouwillgrowinyourabilitytoknowandhearHisvoice.Letusneverunderestimatethepowerofworship!AdditionalScriptures:
