KUMON METHOD OF MARKING ENGLISH—FOR PARENTS Adding value to your child's future Your Kumon Education Centre THE KUMON COMMITMENT As you now know Kumon is a daily commitment. It is expected that your child com- pletes at least one workbook per day. To just do the workbook is NOT ENOUGH! It needs to be marked and corrected so that every single page has a score of 100%. Your child’s Kumon is NOT finished unless you have fixed every mistake in their assigned workbook for that day. To go on to the next workbook without having corrected the last workbook is detrimental to your child’s learning process. MARKING KEY: A large neat circle is placed on the page with no errors. Place a tick through the question number of any incorrect or un-attempted questions. Place a triangle on the question number for any question that has been attempted, however, is incomplete. An example of this is where there is a spelling error, capitalisation error, punctuation error or a word is omitted. NB. Please note that a tick would be used for any spelling, capitalisa- tion or punctuation error when the purpose of the exercise is spelling, capi- talisation or punctuation.
