On the Shelves, by Mary Schons Old-Time Radio — It’s Back!

We are so pleased to welcome the South Chapter of Those Were the Days Radio Players back to the Library! They will do a special Halloween themed program on Wednesday, October 26th at 7 p.m. in our library’s Community Room.

You may remember when they were here last year to perform a mixture of wacky comedy (Magnificent Montegue - BooBoo/FooFoo) and spine-tingling suspense (Call Me at Half Past). Those Were the Days’ live performances come complete with home-made sound effects, the way you remembered it when you were a kid. And if old-time radio was a bit before your time, come and enjoy what entertainment was like in the days before TV and the Internet.

Let imagination be your guide, and we promise you will be in for a spooky Halloween treat! In the meantime, enjoy some of our library’s offerings about either Halloween or the glory days of old-time radio.
