We provide a service that supports students in completing homework and courseworkfrom a wide range of subjects and courses.

We offer regular support and guidance for students who are wanting to reach andachieve their target grades.

We ensure that students who come to The Hub are supported in achieving their goalsto a high standard.

The Hub is always supervised by Whickham School staff who have a strong backgroundin supporting and teaching young people from a wide range of backgrounds and abilities.

The Hub is a relaxed and comfortable place based withinWhickham School that is dedicated to helping students reach

their potential.

What makes The Hub unique at Whickham School?

The main goal at The Hub is to not make studentsfeel like they are attending a lesson or classroomenvironment; instead, we support the needs of thestudent and personalise their learning around whatthey want to achieve.

The Hub is a relaxed and safe environment wherestudents can come and go as they please and arenot forced to come along.We offer free refreshments so that students areable to relax and enjoy being in The Hub whilstthey learn.

In some cases, we offer invitations to selectstudents to attend The Hub.In these circumstances, it is because we havehighlighted a subject area for the student wherethey would benefit from additional support.We will arrange weekly/fortnightly appointments tocome to The Hub so that we can monitor theachievements of the selected students and providefurther support.

Students that come along are also able to gainmerits/points that will count towards prizes or theirend-of-year trip/prom, so the more they attend, themore they will benefit from their learning!
