Now with a 4 piece line up, the band are taking their famously dynamic live show to new danceable, dizzy heights. Jenny Foster, manager of Liskerrett Centre, said We’re delighted to be working with Liskeard Public Hall and Carn to Cove, Cornwall’s Rural Touring Scheme, to bring this show to Liskeard. It’s going to be a great night – the band are renowned for their fabulous live performances and we’re ready to show them a proper Liskeard welcome!’ With Celtic and Eastern influences, the 3 Daft Monkeys style of world folk music reflects the global village in which we now live. Their infectious dancing rhythms lead you through a musical journey of the senses and emotions, and will leave you breathless, enthralled and exhilarated. After experiencing the band's notoriously energetic live performance at Glastonbury, Mark Radcliffe declared them as one of his 'Highlights of the Festival' on BBC TV and subsequently invited them to play a session on his BBC Radio 2 Folk show. Bringing vibrant and sparkling new songs from their recently released album, Year of the Clown, festival

ghouls and monsters can jive the afternoon

away. All children welcome from the ages of

birth to 8 years old. Tickets will be £4.50 (free

for under twelve months) and all money raised

will go to supplying our children with new

resources and equipment. Please dress up in

something spooky and we’ll ensure we do the

same!

Nadelik Lyskerrys - Cornish Christmas Liskeard will be celebrating Christmas in a traditional Cornish way this

year, with extra decorations, a very special Lights Up

including a Christmas feast, a wild hunt, a children’s trail around town

and a chance for everyone to learn a bit of Cornish.

Come and learn some simple Cornish words and songs

Each Tuesday starting from 31st October, from 7 - 9pm.

Cornish Guise Dance Workshops

Liskeard Public Hall—Saturdays 10.30am - 12.30

Saturdays 14, 21 and 28th October, 4,11,18 and 25th November,

A weekly Cornish Guise Dance Workshop from Saturday October

14th, with the chance to learn a selection of traditional Cornish set and

step dances for "guising", with LIVE music.

Suitable for any level; scoots/taps/hard shoes recommended.

No partner required. By the end of the series, you'll feel confident with

one or more dances to perform over the Nadelik yn Lyskerrys

weekend in your Guise mask and costume, and to dance your socks off

at the Nakelik yn Lyskerrys Feast. Magic hat collection.

Lantern Making Workshops

Liskerrett Community Centre - Saturdays 9am-12 noon, 4, 11 and

25the November. Make a small lantern on a Cornish theme to take part

in Liskeard Lights Up Parade.

Nadelik yn Lyskerrys Weekend

Friday 1st December, 4-8 pm. Festive Vintage Fair at the Public Hall.

Including first performance of the Liskeard Mummers Play which will

then tour public houses and other establishments around Liskeard

finishing the evening in the Barley Sheaf PH.

Saturday 2nd December - Lots of things to do and see including

following a town trail solving clues and collecting stamps, finishing at the

Public Hall for a Cornish Tea Treat. Father Christmas also in town.

5.30pm Lights Up Procession leaves the Cattle Market Car Park to

process around the town centre to The Parade for the official turning

on of the Christmas lights and a celebratory firework display.

From 7.00pm A Cornish Feast in Liskeard Public Hall, with the

opportunity to purchase food and drink and enjoy Cornish

entertainment.
