“This was an amazing experience for me. I enjoyed discovering the wonders of Liverpool.”Camilo Espinosa - Nicaragua

“Liverpool is a perfect size city to be able to see everything

and “know” it in a few months. Such an amazing atmosphere! I

had the time of my life!” Mathilde Schneider –

Switzerland

Few cities can compete with the international reputation of Liverpool. The city is famous for its history, architecture, music and sport. Liverpool has more museums, art galleries, parks and listed buildings than any other UK city outside London. In addition, its magnificent waterfront is an International World Heritage Site.

Liverpool is alive with culture, energy and creativity. It is both historical and modern and has something for everyone. No matter what your age, your budget, your interests or your tastes, Liverpool is bound to entertain and provide many happy memories.

The people of Liverpool are famous for being warm and friendly, in fact the city is often voted the friendliest in the UK.

In addition, Liverpool is the perfect size for visitors, students often tell us “it is big but small at the same time”, it has lots to see and do in a city centre which is very compact, safe and easy to get around.

With three universities, many colleges and the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, over 60,000 students choose to study in Liverpool each year, making this city a great study destination.

“There’s a lot to see and do. It was easy to find friends.”Stefan Boris Gleichner - Germany

At The Liverpool School of English we believe that the friends students make during their stay in Liverpool are as important as the lessons they learn. Social events allow all students to practice their English in a natural environment both with other students and with native speakers.

The social programme is carefully designed to appeal to the many different interests and budgets of our students, to maximise our students exposure to English and to encourage them to make new friends from many different countries. Many of the activities arranged are free, those which are not can be paid for on site.

Our teachers enjoy escorting students on all activities and excursions and are there to help everyone have a great time.

At peak season in the summer we organise activities every day, at least one full day excursion per week and 2 evening activities per week. Out of season we arrange 4 activities per week, a full day excursion every two weeks and 2 evening activities per week.

Our staff are always happy to help students arrange their own social activities and have lots of advice and information on places to visit and local events.
